Sixth Mark of the Lamb
In Matthew 16:24-25,the Sixth Mark of the Lamb involves denying your selfish desires, being truly committed to doing God’s will even in the face of death, and never denying Him to save your life! We cannot love the world or people more than God! God expects us to pledge our whole existence to His service.
Fifth Mark of the Lamb
In Matthew 20:26-28 Jesus encourages us, “Whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be our slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to give His life a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45) If you see something that needs to be done, do it! Do not wait to be asked.
Fourth Mark of the Lamb
The Fourth Mark of the Lamb is in Matthew 22:36-40. God says, “…You shall love the Lord your God with ALL your heart, with ALL your soul, and with ALL your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself…” All that the Bible teaches can be summed up in this! In Colossians 3:2-4 Godreveals that we must “set our minds on things above,” because we have died (to self and the world) and “our life is hidden with Christ in God. Is Christ your life?
Third Mark of the Lamb
The third Mark of the Lamb is in Matthew 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the sons of God.” The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” (Galatians 5:22-25) In Luke 2:14, the angels sang, “Peace on earth, good will toward man.” Making peace with self and others are important! In John 14:27, Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you…” Jesus came to bring and make peace through the blood of His cross, and calls us to be peacemakers. (Colossians 1:20; cf. Isaiah 53:4-5)
Second Mark of the Lamb
The Second Mark of the Lamb is Repentance! In Matthew 3:1-2, John the Baptizer prepared for the Savior and in 4:17, Jesus said, “Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” John, was announcing that God’s Savior was coming to conquer Satan’s rule over ALL mankind! Repentance means to turn from your present life of sin (Ephesians 4:22—5:2), transform your mind(Romans 12:1-2), modify your purpose in life(John 3:16-21; 15:4-5), and revolutionize your actions! (2 Corinthians 10:3-6)
First Mark of the Lamb
In Genesis 3:6-7, Adam sinned by disobeying God (Cf. 2:16-17) and mankind fell into Satan’s evil clutch with no hope of deliverance! (Cf. John 8:44; 1 John 3:8; Act 13:10) The First Mark of the Lamb is found in Genesis 3:15 where God gives great hope of the coming Messiah, the Lamb of God to save people from their sins.
