In Matthew 5:6 Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled.” (Cf. John 15:3) In John 4:14 Jesus said, “…whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (;; Luke 1:53) In Matthew 28:19-20 God tells us to go and make disciples, baptizing them, and teaching them to observe all that God tells us in His Word. (Cf. John 14:6) Acts 4:12.

In 2 Peter 1:5-11 we must grow in God’s Word so that we will add to our faith, goodness; to goodness knowledge; after knowledge comes self-control or obedience; then comes determination to do right even in the face of testing (perseverance). Godliness is Christlikeness or selflessness living for Him. God would have us to reach out to others, including those who have hurt us, in loving, self-less deeds having compassion for all people! In John 16:5-15, Jesus is explaining how the Holy Spirit will come to convict of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment to come. The Spirit of truth will guide and bring to remembrance the truths of God when we know God’s Word!

In Deuteronomy 28:1-14, when we diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observed carefully all His commandments, God will run you down and mug you with blessings. Are you hungry for the Word of God? Read and study it! When a verse slaps you in the face God means for you to study it. God’s Word is endless! We will spend all of eternity learning about His Word.
